Family friendly event featuring a parade, arts and craft vendors, great food and fun entertainment.
The festival also includes wildlife exhibits for the outdoor enthusiast and snake handling demonstrations for educational purposes.
We will have educational programs sponsored by Atlanta Zoo, Jacksonville Zoo, Department of Natural Resources and Georgia Southern University’s Wildlife Center. March 12-13, 2016 Valdosta, Georgia Valdosta –Lowndes Azalea Festival – 140 vendors, three stages of entertainment, a huge food court, a 5K race, a 1-mile fun walk/run, and a Kid Zone with a waterball ride, frisbee chasing k-9s, inflatable attractions, children’s train ride, pony rides, a rock wall, a live tiger presented by Tiger Stripes Animal Sanctuary, carriage rides, and a Humane Society pet contest.
Other areas of the park will feature a classic car and bike show (motorcycles on Saturday, cars on Sunday), a mechanical bull ride, racing pigs, a plant sale by Wiregrass Technical College, roaming clowns and jugglers, a euro-bungee ride, and a whole lot more!
