My Sony Vaio won't boot to login due to an automatic upgrade which will not resolve. It is stuck in a 3 of 3 loop, i have tried to go back to a previous system restore point from my recovery disc, but i'm being offered only 2 entries from earlier the same day. :) Solved the problem after 3 days of trawling through forums...'Yahoo Answers' for anyone unfortunate enough to cop this one in the teeth. If the issue persists, uninstall the game (World of Warcraft, Star Craft II, Diablo III) and download a new copy of the game installer from the Game Downloads page. I've been looking at other post with the same problems and trying to do what worked for them, end and start a new one, go to the command promt and type ipconfig/flushdns, everytime I have to delete folder to get to the 1/4 of the bar otherwise I get stuck on ("Checking for updates") but it just get stuck and give me the error message after a couple of minutes.Last time I had this problem I did all things I listed and it didn't work.Programs running in the background can conflict with the Update Agent. Security software can interfere with the Update Agent and prevent it from running properly.Disable or temporarily uninstall any security programs.
(I get a error message I didn't get last time)After letting the Diablo 3 Setup to run for a couple of minutes I get a error message:"Failed to run a required program (Agent) Wait one minute and try again and if that doesn't work please restart your computer and try again. The link tell me to: Ensure that Windows' Secondary Logon is enabled, which the Update Agent requires in order to run correctly. You may experience errors when Update Agent files are missing or corrupt.Delete the Tools folder to have the Update Agent automatically recreate necessary files. I am trying to run the game as administrator, rebooted my computer probably 100 times. So I gave up for like a week and just started my diablo 3 installer for fun..it worked.
