The Best Actor nominee has pierced the stratosphere with his "Ray" accolades, but he told us he has had his heart broken twice.
Foxx first felt the pain during high school in Terrell, Tex., in the '80s, when he dated a pretty blond named Audra Merritt, now a lawyer in Dallas.
"We all looked up to him because he was a little more advanced [with the ladies] than we were," his best friend, Gilbert Willie, tells us. "You're dealing with a small town and you're dealing with black and white situations, and at that time it wasn't totally accepted for him to be dating a white girl," Willie told us.
"Audra didn't have a problem with it, because she was crazy about him, but her parents sure did," said Robert Daniels, Foxx's old football and track coach.
A source close to Brown tells us: "The studio is owed money, but it's not money that Foxy owes out of her pocket.
In fact, Foxx wasn't even allowed to take Audra to the prom because of her parents' disapproval.
He took his best female friend, Nyna Brown, instead. That's all I'm going to say." He wouldn't even utter her name.
Unfortunately, her parents didn't approve of their daughter's relationship with the young black man then known as Eric Bishop.
Jamie was quite the player until he met Audra, according to his friends.
The bootylicious Brown "was ordering everybody around and acting like the new queen of mean," a source told us.
"She locked herself in." Eminem, Luciano Pavarotti, the Rolling Stones and Ricky Martin have all managed to record at the legendary studio without incident.
